Provider Risk Levels

Risk levels describe what actions a swap provider may take during execution.

Auto

Automatic on-chain execution. Funds cannot be frozen or blocked after submission. If the swap fails, funds are refunded automatically by the protocol.

Reserved for future atomic-swap routes (XMR↔BTC via comit-network, etc.). No SmallSwap routes currently carry this badge.

Flexible

Provider operates using their own liquidity. Rejections are rare. Freezes are theoretically possible but highly unlikely.

PreCheck

Provider does its own address screening before processing the swap. Rejections are rare. Freezes are theoretically possible but highly unlikely.

SmallSwap-self-fill carries this badge. We screen the deposit-origin and the receiving address against the OFAC SDN list. Flagged swaps are refunded to the refund address with no hold or manual review.

Controlled

Provider operates with third-party liquidity and has AML policies in place. In most cases swaps are rejected and refunded if any AML issues are detected. In some situations funds may be held pending review.

The risk pill is shown on every route in the route-comparison view. It does not change once a swap is created — what you see at quote time is what you get.
